“As the San Clemente Ocean Festival gears up for its return in July 2024, the organizers are inviting the community to submit designs for an Ocean Festival Seeks T-Shirt. The design must reference the event, scheduled for July 20-21, and highlight elements related to the event, such as lifeguards or lifeguard competitions.
Artists are allowed to use up to six colors and should create designs on a platform that allows the screenprinter to access layers. The final design should be a high-resolution or vector file, filed at the actual print size with a minimum of 12 inches on the shortest side.
Artists have the freedom to choose the text and font style, text placement and arrangement, whether to include borders or frames, and color. However, the Ocean Festival organizers have expressed a preference for Pantone solid-coated colors for graphics.
All artwork must be original. Designs should be emailed to [email protected] by midnight on Jan. 31. By entering the contest, artists automatically agree to allow necessary changes and grant exclusive use of the artwork to the San Clemente Ocean Festival.
The festival’s board and Design Selection Committee will select the winning designs, with the winner expected to be announced in early 2024. The winner for both the white and color shirts will receive $1,000 and a choice of three pieces of event merchandise.”
