Anatomy of the Cut

Ours follow the shape of a traditional baseball uniform top: full button placket down the front, ribbed collar and cuffs, and a straight hem meant to be worn out rather than tucked.

Three details that change how it wears. The placket means you can wear it open over a tee, which turns one jersey into two looks. The ribbed collar holds its shape better than a crew neck through repeated washing. And the straight hem is cut longer at the back, so it stays covering when you sit or reach.

Names, Numbers and Getting Them Right

The back panel is built for personalisation — surname across the shoulders, number beneath, following the same convention as the real thing.

Two rules that save trouble:

Check the spelling character by character. Not word by word. A personalised jersey is produced to your exact specification, which means a typo is not something a warehouse can catch for you. Read it backwards if you have to.

Order earlier than feels necessary. Personalised pieces are made after you order rather than picked off a shelf. If the jersey is for a specific game, party or reunion, work backwards from that date, check timings on our Shipping Policy page, and leave a buffer on top.

Buying for a Group

Jerseys are bought in sets more often than any other cut we make — teams, families, reunions, parties.

If that is you, collect everyone’s measurements before you start rather than their letter sizes. People report the size they have always bought, not the size they currently wear, and on a group order that gap turns into several exchanges. A single shared size chart link sent round in advance solves it.

Order the whole group in one go where possible so the batch is produced together — colour consistency across a single run is better than across separate orders placed days apart.

How the Fit Runs

Jerseys are cut looser than a tee. That is deliberate — jersey tops were designed to be worn over another layer and to allow full arm movement.

So do not size down expecting a fitted look; you will get a short jersey rather than a slim one. If you want it close to the body, that is a different garment — try T-Shirts, Sweatshirts & Hoodies instead. If you want it to sit as intended, take your usual size and wear it open or closed as the day calls for.

Care

Cold wash, inside out, hang dry. Fasten the buttons before washing — an open placket tangles in a machine and stresses the button seams more than the rest of the garment ever sees.

Keep an iron off the printed area and off any personalised lettering entirely. If the collar or cuffs need reshaping, do it damp by hand rather than with heat.
